Description:
So you like to draw, but you want to get better at it? Okay, let's make that happen! Students will be working on exercises involving negative space, value shading, portraits, contour lines, and perspective. We will introduce 2 or 3 projects daily! These basics will help to build concrete ground for an understanding of how to improve your artwork. We will work primarily in graphite, and if time permits, students can add color with the medium of their choice. Subject matter will include still life, visual photo references and scenic interpretations. A Gallery Show of our students' artwork will be extended to families following class on the final day! As always siblings of any age are welcome to register.
Bring to Class:
- Bring snack and water
- Wear clothes that can get messy
- Wear gym shoes for outside play
- Apply sunblock before coming to camp
